Profile

Julia Miltenberger studied at Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences. Since her degree in jewelry design in July 2009 she has been working in her studio in Düsseldorf as a self-employed jewelry designer. The creations of the young designer are manifold and at first sight they seem to be very different. But a closer look reveals parallels, connections and cross references.

Unusual, clear and uncompromising appear the large-sized jewelry pieces made of neoprene. They fascinate by their geometric-futuristic design and their intense colors. The material neoprene is lightweight and flexible and adapts to the body. Much more gentle and quiet is the jewelry series „Deckle Edge“, which is inspired by old black and white photographs from past times. It deals with memory and nostalgia and is made of silver and gold-plated silver.

Through very different sources of inspiration paired with a reduced and very personal design, clear, stylish and very meaningful pieces of jewelry are formed.
